Missions

Each Christian is called to participate in the outreaching ministry of Jesus Christ. Putting our faith into action is at the very heart of our Christian calling.

First UMC supports a variety of local, national, and international missions through our giving and our doing.

Much of First UMC’s immediate direct assistance is conducted through Shelbyville’s Salvation Army. First UMC is a long-time supporter of the Salvation Army’s ministry. To connect with the Salvation Army, click here.
